dfwREALTORS.com is proud to announce its 2009 dfwREALTORS Community Achievement Scholarship. dfwREALTORS members understand the importance of community service and volunteerism; as a result they know the future lies with the youth of the Metroplex and their higher education goals. With education and community service in mind, dfwREALTORS has established this scholarship program. Each recipient will receive $1,000 in scholarship monies to aid in achieving their goal of attending college. The questionnaire is to be completed by the student applicant; then submitted to their Senior Counselor by February 15, 2009. The counselors from each high school will select one application to be evaluated by the Scholarship subcommittee for consideration. The application must be received at the Association office by March 1, 2009.
Applicants are evaluated by the dfwREALTORS Association's Public Education Committee based upon their level of community service, financial need and citizenship using the following weighted evaluation system; 50% Community Service, 30% Financial Need, 20% Citizenship.
dfwREALTORS has approximately 14,000 members living and working in the Metroplex and we appreciate the opportunity to support the youth in the communities we serve. This scholarship will be one of 24 scholarships which we award each year to public high school seniors in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. dfwREALTORS commends each applicant for their outstanding contributions and dedication to their community.
